Sculpture and Video — 2019
These clay sculptures symbolise the human desire for beauty and immortality. In a game of “Playing God”, these pieces become a representation of checkers
in a distorted and sick match between what we are and what we probably shouldn’t be.
The video is a reaction on the idea of "trans-humanism", it shows the seamless perfection and promise of beauty and immortality that humans chaise through machines, technology and DNA manipulation. But all leaves a trace of melancholia and nostalgia behind, in a bare, even if calming, lifeless environment.
